Designed as a resource for both physical and virtual health support, the Telehealth Pavilions provide a wellness space for students and faculty. The project envisions a series of small and medium-sized pavilions located at various locations around Avery Hall at Columbia University, complemented by a larger central pavilion located in the basement of Avery Hall. Positioned under the skylight, the central pavilion takes advantage of the natural light, creating an atmosphere that fosters health and well-being. These spaces blend technology with architecture to address health needs in an academic environment. To enhance the functionality and comfort of the pavilions, custom-designed acoustic sound panels are integrated into the pods. Comprising of several surfaces to increase the surface area of the panels, these panels effectively reduce noise by allowing for maximum sound absorption. These pavilions blend design, light, technology, and acoustics to create a holistic environment that redefines health and wellness spaces.
