A Letter is inspired by Anni Albers’ weaving-based artwork titled Open Letter (1958). Analyzing and interpreting Albers’ work, the project evolved from a weaving sample to a vessel, a partition, and an interior space. The design allows for different readings of the word letter through flexible configurations and layers of interactions. The interior-based project has a personal connection to a childhood apartment; it aims to create a visual composition of a letter by introducing a spatial rhythm. Layered by The Field, The Apparatus, and The Tools, the familiar space is remodeled and reimagined. The project invites occupants to leave stories and write letters.
