What are we eating? Data and studies have revealed that a significant portion of the human population eats unhealthy foods on a daily basis, such as processed or fast food. However, it’s not necessarily their fault – many city dwellers suffer from a lack of access to fresh food. Public Food integrates urban agriculture and food consumption with public schools in the Lower East Side. This enables the enhancement of existing infrastructure without the need for additional land. Furthermore, it can also educate future generations about the benefits of healthy living, raise awareness on food insecurity, and explore the possibilities of growing fresh food locally.
