Katherine Chan

Katherine Chan, MSFE is a façade engineer and educator. Her work includes building envelope consulting and teaching in undergraduate and graduate architecture and engineering programs. She is a founding member of the Society of Façade Engineering North America Hub and holds the designatory letters MSFE to indicate a graded level of membership which reflects more than a decade’s experience in the industry.

Concurrently to her teaching, Katherine is a practicing façade engineering consultant at Walter P Moore and previously at Buro Happold, where she specialized in detail development and specification of high performing facades of a variety of materials and systems. Past projects of note include USF Honors College with Morphosis Architects, the ThyssenKrupp Innovation Qualification Center with Gensler Architects, the Gilder Center at the American Museum of Natural History with StudioGang, Jewel Changi Airport with Safdie Architects.
