Adjunct Assistant Professor

David Dishy is CEO and Co-Founder of LMXD, an urbanist development company that builds innovative mixed-income and mixed-use communities primarily in the Northeast corridor. As a proud member of the L+M family of companies, which has been an active affordable developer and builder in the New York area for almost 40 years, LMXD’s focus is on complex, investment-driven, civically-impactful projects that seek to foster community, culture, and sustainability, and which advance the larger mission of L+M: “working together to build stronger communities”. LMXD is currently active in New Haven, New Rochelle, Newark, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and New Orleans.

Previously L+M’s President of Development, David brings over 25 years of public-private, mixed-income development and acquisitions experience to LMXD and has been a key participant in transactions involving over 25,000 apartments and $12 billion of investment. Prior to joining L+M, David served in senior residential roles at Forest City Ratner Companies and then Tishman Speyer in New York. He began his career working in city planning and economic development before joining HR&A Advisors to focus on public-private development strategy and housing finance.

David has served on boards for groups such as Symphony Space, Randall’s Island Park Alliance, Enterprise Community Partners New York, Friends of the High School for Environmental Studies, Manhattan Community Board Seven, and as a fellow with Coro Leadership New York. David graduated from Harvard College with a degree in urban studies and earned an M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia GSAPP.
