Graham Trelstad

Adjunct Associate Professor

Graham L. Trelstad, is Senior Vice President at WSP USA, Inc. Mr. Trelstad has 30 years of community planning experience, including preparation of comprehensive plans, zoning studies and code amendments, special area plans, and site plan and subdivision application reviews. He has completed several major local and regional planning studies that combine land use planning, economic development, and water quality protection or integrate land use planning with transportation and traffic management.

Mr. Trelstad’s practice also includes preparation of environmental impact statements under the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), New York City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR), and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for public actions, private developments, and large transportation and infrastructure projects.

Since 2013, Mr. Trelstad has been a Board Member of Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress, a 501( c )( 3 ) that provides objective research, planning, and educational training throughout the Hudson Valley region. Its work identifies civic challenges and promotes regional, equitable, and sustainable solutions to constantly improve the quality of life in Hudson Valley communities.

Mr. Trelstad received his Bachelor of Arts in urban planning from Columbia University and his Master of Environmental Studies in hydrology and watershed management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies (now the Yale School of the Environment).
