Victoria Sanger

Victoria Sanger is a specialist in early modern architectural and urban history. Her fields of research are cartography and military architecture and urbanism. She co-curated and directed the publication of the catalogue for the 2007 exhibition Vauban: bâtisseur du Roi-Soleil, at the Cité de l'architecture in Paris. She has taught survey and specialized urban and architectural history courses at the Université de Tours, Reid Hall in Paris (SMU, Columbia, New York- Paris).

Victoria also worked to preserve the archives of her grandfather and great-uncle, Harold and Percy Uris. She discovered the archives through her family, researched the collection and donated them to Avery Library, accompanied by a family grant for its archiving and preservation. Now called the Percy and Harold D. Uris papers. She further directed a grant for the acquisition of materials by Emery Roth & Sons, also at Avery Library.
