Zak Kostura

Zak Kostura is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia GSAPP, where he provides a focus on structurally expressive architecture. Kostyra is also an associate in the New York office of Arup with particular expertise in high performance structures. He is currently leading the design of a form-found space frame roof system for a new international airport terminal in Mexico City.

In addition to work on the Mexico City International Airport project, Zak provides structural design services on international tall building projects. Past work has included residential and commercial tall and supertall structures in the United Arab Emirates, China, South Korea and Poland. Through his work on the Fulton Center Project in Lower Manhattan, Zak has gained in-depth expertise on the design, analysis, documentation and construction administration of large form-found structures.
