Mehul Patel

Adjunct Assistant Professor

Mehul J. Patel is currently a Managing Director of Development at OKO Group leading the development of the Aman Hotel & Residences on Miami Beach and the Amancaya resort and villas located on three private islands in The Bahamas.

Over the past two decades, Mehul has overseen more than $2 billion in development, including some of the most high-profile and distinguished niche projects across the US in hospitality, retail, office, multi-family and mixed-use asset classes.

Mehul is currently a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University, teaching Public Private Partnerships in Real Estate Development.

Previously, Mehul served as a Board Member of the Coro New York Leadership Center, a Director of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, President of the Columbia Real Estate Development Alumni Association, and co-chair of the Yale Alumni Real Estate Association.

Mehul received a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Urban Studies from Yale University and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University.
