Biographies
Carlo Bailey is a Design Researcher at WeWork, where he analyzes real user behavior, conducts spatial data analytics, and prototypes new apps to inform decisions regarding physical spaces and service development. He taught a graduate class at Columbia University, and trained as an architect in London and New York. His work lies at the intersection of design, technology, and scientific investigation.
Amanda Ramos is a Principal and Innovation Director with Gensler’s Consultancy and Not-For-Profit practices with an expertise in workplace design strategy. Through nearly 20 years of experience, she has developed organizational programs, campus master plans, workplace prototypes, innovation adoption campaigns and change accelerators across virtually every industry sector, from not-for-profit institutions to Fortune 500 companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Ericsson, GSK, Nokia, the Foundation Center, Acumen, the Ford Foundation and the Nonprofit Finance Fund. She is currently a Firmwide Leader for Gensler’s Not-for-Profit Practice Area and holds degrees in architecture and building science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
James Sanders, AIA, is an internationally recognized architect, author, and filmmaker, whose work has garnered him a Guggenheim Fellowship and Emmy Award, among other honors. As principal of the design and research studio James Sanders + Associates, he has developed a wide range of projects, including the Seaport Culture District; NYU Open House; and Timescapes, the permanent orientation installation of the Museum of the City of New York (with Local Projects).
