Vibe Board

The Vibe Board combines the group work benefits of a whiteboard with the functionality of a computer

You can use these boards to; wirelessly cast from a computer or tablet, annotate as desired, use as a digital whiteboard to collaborate with people from around the world, join a Zoom meetings using the onboard app, or upload and annotate on pdf and ppt files

Wireless Casting:

To display content from an external device, you have a few options;

Option 1: Connect to the Vibe Board’s hotspot Wi-Fi (shown on the home screen)

  • Cast to “408 Avery Vibe Board” using AirPlay (Apple OS) or Miracast (Windows OS)

Option 2: (Requires device on Columbia U Secure Wi-Fi): Tap the Input icon (bottom-right menu) and select Input 4 to show Airserver

  • Cast to “408 Avery” via AirPlay or Miracast

Option 3: Using the Vibe Tap

  • Plug the dongle into a usb-c port of your laptop and press the button atop, the light should turn green to share screen wirelessly

Using the onboard Apps:

There are multiple apps available to use on the Vibe Board, including Chromium (browser), Google Drive, Miro, and Vibe Canvas

  • To access: while on the home screen, click on the app that you wish to open and use

Using the Vibe Stylus to Annotate / use the Vibe Canvas (digital whiteboard):

The Vibe stylus allows you to write notes on any document pulled up on the Vibe Board. To do this, you need to first grab the stylus at the Vibe Board, then tap the Pen icon on the bottom right hand of the screen. Now, you are able to write notes using the stylus. Once you are finished writing notes, you can save the document as an image file and upload it to your Google Drive to access it outside of the Vibe Board

Vibe Canvas is the Vibe Board’s built in digital whiteboard app. While on Vibe Canvas you draw flowcharts, make notes, and upload pictures to the digital whiteboard. In addition to the whiteboard function, you can open PDF, Images, PowerPoint, and other documents directly in Vibe Canvas through your Google Drive account. While these documents are pulled up, you can write notes and highlight important passages with the Vibe stylus. Once you make notes to your document, you can email or export it as a PDF

Exiting the board and clearing out stored/personal info:

Tap on the End button in the bottom right of the screen, and then tap on “End and erase”. This will delete any login settings or passwords you may have entered while using, making it secure for the next user to boot up with a fresh session
