The aspiration of this school is to create a sensory, kinetic learning environment for children, by deploying curtains that delaminate the functional enclosure of a typical building wall into a sensory experience. Curtains, divided into categories according to touch, sight, hearing, and thermal properties, create the possibility of defining spaces through different senses and material combinations. These are interchangeable and can be manipulated throughout the course of a day, month, and year. By preserving the H wings of the existing school and working within the recessed front facade, a stage set is created to serve both the school and the city.
