Green Link

Green Link creates varying scales of natural spaces and corridors to intimately connect residents to each other, while also seeking to emphasize the presence of the Bronx Documentary Center on the site. Each scale of natural space and corridor are imagined in different ways. From the larger natural scales being more traditional, exterior gardens, to the living space implementing materials and textures that give the space a distinct feel to the rest of the unit. The corridor scales range from the exterior corridor of the ground plane, which is primarily public, the semi-private interior corridor of the linking ribbon, and the corridors that link each unit and their living spaces together. These corridors act not only as circulation but as living spaces that bring residents together. Ultimately, Green Link hopes to connect its residents through the natural - winding and intertwining each individual to the rest of the community.
