Social anxiety can disrupt an individual’s daily schedule and make daily tasks seem difficult. Responding to the fact that this anxiety disorder is the most common worldwide after “specific phobias,” our proposal introduces an entertainment device for millennials suffering from social anxiety that employs entertainment as a distraction through physical movement and sensory engagement. The device allowers users to embark on a journey that follows a sequence of colors and complementary activities. This sequence intensifies feelings in the following sequence: calmness, enthusiasm, disconnect, relaxation, delight, excitement, proudness, and “ultimate distraction.” Individuals embark alone but are gradually exposed to other participants; the journey culminates in a space in which all participants are forced to communicate with each other to activate the device. Participants can continue their conversations in the amphitheater or discreetly exit through berms and disappear into the park as an anonymous park visitor.
