Rewoven Layers

This project explores architecture as a layered, living system that integrates ecological processes into the urban fabric. Grounded in the concept of Layered Urbanism, it reuses existing structures while introducing new forms through lightweight CLT construction, minimizing waste, and preserving the site’s history. At the street level, walkable landscapes and community gardens transform access into an experience of collective cultivation, where residents move through productive, park-like spaces. Architecture functions not as a static form but as a metabolic feedback loop—embracing transformation, ecological cycles, and community-driven food systems as core design principles.
