Regenerative Damage: Fire in Koski National Park

Drawing from the Finnish cultural tradition of koski, which uses selective forest burns to stimulate regenerative growth and biodiversity, the project proposes a small complex of buildings constructed from the byproducts of this process. Meant to provide a temporary shelter for the workers and researchers who steward the various phases of this cyclical practice, the buildings are also designed to be disassembled and relocated to new sites as they emerge.
