PICK - UP HOUSING

Pavements go from sidewalks to landscapes for chalk and blankets. Mud asks to be laid on and played in. Water washes and hydrates, and wood and carpet soften the impact of running and falling.

Housing should not be architecture in isolation, rather it should pay attention to addressing the needs of youth and adjacent communities. This housing project seeks to understand and respond to the existing conditions of play in West Harlem.
