The confrontation between the Fulton community tenants and NYCHA’s demolition plan has reached an impasse. In addition to long-term planning for community revitalization, the priority is to determine whether there is a breakthrough in the specific work goals, focusing on reforming the Fulton Tenants Association to create an effective community service organization. This includes making extensive use of Manhattan’s abundant resources and social donations, adopting a low-cost architectural design approach, and designing based on the entrances of apartments most frequently used on a daily basis.
