This project reimagines restitution in the context of the newly reconstructed Humboldt Forum, located in heart of Berlin, Germany. An investigation into the ways in which measurement has enabled the extractive processes that sustain the archive museum led to an intervention that simulates the displacement of objects though the simulation of climates from which they originate. The impossibility of containing the variety of climates represented by the museums collection eventually forces either a collective reimagining of where and how these objects are housed or an imposed deterioration of the museum due to the sustained conflict between simulated climate conditions and the buildings interior.
