(Im)permanency

NYC’s average household size has decreased for the past decades, leading to a significant shortage in smaller size apartments. People may leave familiar neighborhoods for a more suitable housing type because one’s lifestyle and demands change constantly throughout life. Our project encourages multi-generational families of today to closely bond within the home while maintaining high levels of privacy and freedom. We also provide maximum flexibility through loose but versatile unit layouts, and residents are welcomed to shape their homes to meet new demands.
