Our housing proposal reimagines systems of waste as a means to restore environmental comfort and facilitate the reclamation of sensory ownership. Historically, the South Bronx has been disproportionately affected by the municipality’s waste management system. The distrust between urban governance and its inhabitants was exacerbated by resulting health injustices, environmental inequality, and a loss of home.
