The Morning After is the first preview of the Venice Encounters: Blind Dates event organized by the GSAPP’s CCCP (Critical, Curatorial, and Conceptual Practices in Architecture) Class of 2019.
Venice Encounters is a research project that aims to analyze this year’s Venice Biennale. The project includes a series of happenings based on a format of blind dates taken from the Hans-Günther Brüske-created documentary television series Durch die Nacht mit… (Into the Night with…). From May 24-26, a selection of different curators and participants will be paired up to follow routes across the interiors and surroundings of the Giardini and Arsenale, engaging in critical but informal conversations that will be transcribed and released at a later date.
This initial preview, The Morning After, will reunite all of the participants and present selected excerpts of their conversations. Recordings, photos, and transcripts of the Blind Dates will be on display at the Emily Harvey Foundation.
Brunch will be provided at the event. Please register here.
