Khadija is a 2024 Fulbright Scholar to Brasil living and working in Salvador, Bahia. Her research is concerned with practices of fugitivity in the lusophone diaspora. She graduated from Columbia GSAPP in 2023 and received the Ali Jawad Malik Memorial History/Theory Honor Award, Alpha Rho Chi Medal, and the William Kinne Fellows Traveling Award.
