Pop-up Exhibition and Screening of Columbia Urban Design Student Work
This pop-up exhibition will feature printed work and 11 short videos prepared by student teams in the City-Region Urban Design Studio with a focus on the Hudson Valley, Columbia County and the City of Hudson. Exploring a range of topics - from the challenges of agriculture and the distribution of fresh produce, through the relationship between a small city like Hudson and its suburban and rural surroundings, to scenarios for the future of Hudson’s waterfront, the projects offer concepts and ideas for discussion.
The goal of this studio is to create the conditions for collaboration and communication among varied stakeholders. Each of these proposals is a provocation made by students — from many backgrounds and from all over the world. Drawing from their diverse creative and analytical skills, the students’ projects open new ways of approaching questions of urbanization, community investment, and long term change. The hope is that these projects can contribute to ongoing conversations, and that the work can promote more collaboration and communication between all those seeking equitable change in their community and across the Hudson Valley region.
Free and open to the public. RSVP
